Throughout Walpole and Districts there are businesses offering a wealth of things to do and places to stay for singles, couples, families, seniors, groups, backpackers, flashpackers, caravaners, campers, trekkers, fishers, epicurists, adventurers ... travellers of all sorts!
Vital services are centred around the Walpole town site whose central business district is made up of mostly small privately owned and managed businesses.
Walpole’s main road, Nockolds Street, runs parallel with the South Western Highway, offering ample parking and a safe environment for resident shoppers and visitors who stop for a fill-up and a meal. (Walpole CRC is located on Latham Avenue behind the Post Office on Nockolds Street.)
Across the highway from Nockolds Street is picturesque Pioneer Park, where prospective farmers settled the area in the 1930s. Today it is home to the Walpole-Nornalup Tourism Association Visitor Centre, whose friendly staff members provide useful information to tourists and travelers. The Walpole-Nornalup Tourism Association is the predominant business group in Walpole and Districts.
Download the Walpole-Nornalup Visitors Guide (recommended) and the Explore Southern Forests booklet. They are both very large PDF files. The Walpole-Nornalup Visitors Guide is the smaller file and more specific to Walpole and Districts. Alternatively, pick up hard copies of both at the Visitor Centre in Pioneer Park.
